I’m looking for the title of a movie from the late 70′s or early 80′s that involved a…?

…computerized house killing people.
I watched this movie as a child and don’t have a very detailed memory of it. I seem to remember the house being vacant at the beginning of the movie and a family or maybe just a dad and son moving in. The only other scene I can remember in any detail is one where a woman tries to warn the people in the house that something is wrong and the house uses the electric Gate on the driveway to crush her car. I’ve watched Pulse and that is not the movie I’m looking for. I don’t think it’s Demon Seed either but I haven’t screened that one yet to be sure. Any help would be appreciated as trying to remember this title is driving me crazy. Thanks.

I think it IS the movie DEMON SEED with Julie Christie, released in 1977.

Otherwise, another film that strongly resembles your description is BURNT OFFERINGS with Karen Black — only thing is that Karen ended up staying – but now as I am typing this, I seem to vaguely recall another family member/friend/or servant trying to escape and tell people to be cautious!

Yet, I am sticking with DEMON SEED !!
