My horse and electric fencing?

my horse got caught on the electric fencing going into the field one day and ever since he runs away from the Gate and its a struggle to get him in specially when you pick the fencing up so you can go through the gate he runs in the opposite direction and then when i finally get him to go near the gate he bolts through and drags me half way across the field its now gettin dangerous for both of us so i cant get him on my own now i have to take someone with me and its becoming a pain helppppppppp!!!

One thing you could try, is change the fencing. This may sound stupid, but i heard a customer of mine some time ago with a similar problem, her horse got caught up in some white polytape and after that he wouldnt go near it. Why not get some different colour tape for the gate section at least. Then he wont associate the colour with the shock. Best idea i can come up with at the moment
