UPS question…what happens if the package cannot be delievered?

I live in a very remote area and there is a Gate that keeps all the riff-raff out. that includes delievery drivers unfortuently.

I agree with the other response that if you’re concerned, call and explain your situation to them, and see what they have to say. UPS themselves will be the expert on this subject and be able to best advise you on what you should do depending on your location.

They may be willing to leave it at the gate, but you may not want to do this.

You certainly have the option of having them hold your package until you can pick it up, but do you know where the nearest UPS location is to you? It may be further than you’d like.

You could try to schedule a time for delivery and try to be by the gate around then or keeping an eye out for the driver. Can you possibly rig the gate to stay open for the driver?
