Can a boeing 747 last from sydney to LA without stops?

ok first I have one little question on flight simulator, when taxing how do you reverse back out of your Gate? Stupidest question but ive never known. Another question is will a boeing 747 be able to travel sydney to Johne wayne airport with no stops? I plan on leaving it on auto pilot over night and land it in the morning.

First of all, when backing out from a gate the planes are pushed back by carts. Airplanes do not have the capability to go in “reverse” on their own power as the engines only face one direction. Once they are pushed back far enough that they can go forward without hitting anything, then they use their own power and taxi to the runway. (FOLLOW-UP NOTE to an answer given after mine: Planes do not use reverse thrusters to back away from gates – if you heard one, you were hearing something else and are mistaken. I know this because I am a pilot and have been trained in the airplanes.)

A Boeing 747 is definitely able to fly from Southern California to Sydney with no stops, but not from John Wayne Airport since that airport is too small to accommodate a 747 (wide-body) aircraft. But theoretically it would be possible based on miles.

Los Angeles to Sydney: 6,506 NM (nautical miles) – 14 hours, 30 minutes

747 range: 7,260 NM

TRIVIA: The longest flight a Boeing 747 has flown was from London to Sydney, 11,190 NM, and took 20 hours and 9 minutes. The flight was empty, though, so was much lighter weight than normal.
